What a great event the DG Noon Lions pulled off this morning. Nice crowd and the weather couldn't have been better.
If you have e-mail addresses for our young volunteers could you please forward them to Ann and me so that we can drop them a thank you note. Your granddaughter and niece are very pleasant thoughtful young ladies.
It was nice to see Ron again; I handed him coffee for a lot of years!!

Race director's comments on above testimonial: Both Pat and his wife Ann were two of several blind entries in the event. Some 2 hours and 7 minutes after the start of the event, wheelchair entry Michele finished. The large crowd that remained stood and applauded, the band played, the clock was running and for the second year in a row it was the crowning moment to a very special Labor of Love morning.
Thanks George. Being able to proudly wear the shirt is always a nice touch. I started running 5Ks and 10Ks around ’82 during high school. Since then I’ve conquered quite a few half marathons and three marathons. You guys produced a great race. Registration was a little crowded but I’m sure you’ll keep refining the specifics. I sure enjoyed the enthusiasm at the start and being handed a water bottle at the finish. I couldn't quite get myself to eat the BWW wings, though. Not exactly what my body craves after a fast run. I saw other runners chowing down, though, so I guess others felt it was a good idea.

I ENJOYED MYSELF AND THOUGHT YOU WERE VERY ORGANIZED. THE ROAD/TRACK WAS VERY WELL MARKED AND A GOOD TRACK. CLEAN, SMOOTH AND FLAT. OF COURSE, THE WEATHER WAS "PERFECT"...THAT IS ALWAYS AN UNEXPECTED MIRACLE. THE TEE SHIRT IS VERY CUTE TOO. THANKS.

It really was a great event. I cannot say enough about your staff…everybody was so helpful and friendly. Your dry sense of humor was also appreciated. The event was well run, yet laid back and friendly. God willing I will be there next year with my family...Again, thanks for a fun event!
